Position: 2 X EYFS Level 3 Qualified Early Years Practitioners

Hours: 1 X 37 hours per week / 1 X 30 hours per week

Working days: Monday to Friday – All Year

Grade 4 Salary (FTE 37 hrs): £25,583 - £25,989

Actual Salary (30 hrs): £20,743 - £21,072

About the School

The Governors of The Hednesford Hills Federation are offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our wonderful nursery team at Hednesford Nursery School, Eskrett Street, Hednesford. Responsibilities

  • Support children’s learning in the nursery, working with individuals, groups and whole classes using detailed knowledge, experience, specialist skills and training.
  • Use specialist knowledge/experience to provide appropriate support to children in relation to their individual needs.
  • Contribute to the creation of an appropriate learning environment through display and room organisation, and to the production of suitable learning resources.
  • Plan for and deliver the Early Years Curriculum.
  • Monitor and evaluate children’s responses to learning activities using a range of assessment and monitoring strategies against pre‑determined learning objectives.
  • Apply behaviour management strategies and techniques within the nursery’s disciplinary policy to manage behaviour constructively and contribute to a purposeful learning environment.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Experience working with children in an EYFS setting.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Knowledge, skills and understanding of a range of strategies that will ensure the progress of the children.
  • Relevant qualification (NVQ Level 3 Early Years or equivalent).
