Role Intent
Transform our property assets and make a difference. The Council has a wide range of Corporate Assets which are key to the delivery of the Council’s services and our wider ambitions to promote Economic Prosperity, Housing Development and support high-profile regeneration projects in the Town Centre. We are keen to develop new ways of working to maximise the efficiency and performance of our corporate assets to enable the effective delivery of front-line services. We are looking for a highly motivated, resilient Facilities Management Technical Team Lead who will play a key role in our small team to shape our delivery of corporate asset facilities and utilities management services across our property portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Shape and deliver corporate asset facilities and utilities management services across the property portfolio.
- Contribute to developing new ways of working to maximise efficiency and performance of corporate assets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support delivery of front-line services and organisational priorities.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in facilities management and people management.
- Proven experience in managing utilities.
- Effective negotiation and leadership skills to drive relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical abilities to oversee asset data and inform key decisions.
- A qualification in Facilities Management, Building Compliance, Building Surveying or Asset Management (or working towards). Alternatively, extensive relevant demonstrable experience and willingness to work towards a qualification within a 2-year period from commencement of the role.
