Stafford Borough & Cannock Chase District Councils are seeking two Casual CCTV Operators to join our established team at Cannock Chase District Council. This is an exciting opportunity where the successful candidates will play a key role in supporting community safety by monitoring surveillance systems, identifying potential incidents, and sharing accurate information with colleagues and partners.

This role demands strong observational skills, clear communication, and a commitment to confidentiality and professional standards. Shifts are 6 hours and will be offered to cover a 24/7 rota – this will include days, nights, bank holidays and weekends.

About you:

  • Experienced in working in a CCTV control room, or similar environment
  • Reliable, observant, and able to maintain focus for extended periods
  • Calm and professional when dealing with incidents and pressure situations
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately identify and report events
  • Committed to confidentiality, data protection, and professional standards

These roles will be subject to a Standard DBS Disclosure.
