Stafford Borough & Cannock Chase District Councils are seeking a Capital Accountant to lead the financial management of the Councils' Capital Programme. This opportunity offers the successful applicant a chance to be part of an innovative shared finance service working across two neighbouring local authorities. This role gives the opportunity to support the business by playing a key role in supporting strategic investment decisions and ensuring sound monitoring and production of the Councils' multi-year capital programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial management of the Councils' Capital Programme.
  • Support strategic investment decisions.
  • Ensure sound monitoring and production of the Councils' multi-year capital programme.

About You:

  • CCAB qualified and a member of a relevant accountancy body is essential.
  • You will have previous experience of local government finance regulations and the ability to provide professionally sound financial information both verbally and in writing to Officers and Members of the Council.
