Staffordshire County Council's Family Hubs offer a local support centre for families with children and young people aged 0-19 years (aged 25 with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)). They provide help, information, advice, guidance, and support to overcome difficulties and build stronger relationships. The service can be accessed face to face or virtually.
We have a post available for 18.5 hours per week at Cannock Chase Family Hub, WS11 5BU.
Hours of work:
- Monday - Thursday: 9.00 am - 12.45 pm
- Fridays: 9.00 am - 12.30 pm
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer care and a professional reception service, meeting and welcoming families, children, and young people into our Family Hubs.
- Manage incoming telephone calls, emails, and enquiries about services.
- Register new service users and signpost to relevant activities and provision within the district.
- Data inputting and providing information, advice, and guidance.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Good organisational skills and experience of using a wide range of IT systems.
- A flexible approach to work and a passion for providing the best service.
- Minimum essential criteria: GCSE English or equivalent.
- Experience of using computer-based information systems in an office environment.
- Good written and oral communication skills with children, young people, parents, and staff from partner organisations.
- Evidence of excellent customer service skills and the achievement of high-quality services.
- Ability to adapt to changing work priorities.
You will be based at Cannock Chase Family Hub and may occasionally be required to provide ad hoc cover in Rugeley. Please ensure that you outline how you meet the person specification within your application.
