Staffordshire County Council provides an opportunity for a 22.5 hour permanent Business Support Officer (PA to Social Worker) who will support the fostering service. The role is Monday‑Wednesday 08:30 – 17:00 with occasional home working on a rota basis.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for social workers.
  • Support statutory workload by convening and attending meetings, including statutory multi‑agency meetings, coordinating agenda distribution, and taking and distributing appropriate notes, minutes and actions.
  • Complete a range of administrative tasks ensuring compliance with business processes and service level agreements.
  • Accurately input and maintain information systems in support of social workers, ensuring records are up to date.
  • Use the Department’s IT facilities to maintain, monitor and analyse data.

Ideal Candidate

  • IT qualification (ICDL Advanced L3 or equivalent).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office 365 and computer‑based information systems in an office environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
