Responsibilities:

- Learn and assist in all elements of administration including carrying out day to day customer service, financial management and general administration duties, along with minuting a range of meetings.
Our offices are very busy, fast-paced and deal with a multitude of visitors of all ages, as such the role requires the post holder to be very customer focused, professional, friendly and a desire to help and take ownership of queries to ensure family, children and young people are supported. The role can at times deal with sensitive, highly confidential and on occasion distressing information.
The post is fully office based within one of the Children’s Services buildings across the borough of Walsall. The successful candidate will be expected to cover at other offices as and when required.
Qualifications:
- GCSE (Grade C or above, or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Eligible to complete a level 2 or level 3 Business Support apprentice training course.
- Required to complete one day per week of training either onsite or within a training provider environment.
- Approximately 6 hours of off job training and may need to work towards Functional Skills.
- Must meet the government’s Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers.
