An exciting opportunity within East Staffordshire Borough Council's regeneration and enterprise team. Ideal for those new to regeneration, offering a chance to develop experience and skills in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the Town Regeneration Officers and the Enterprise Officer in delivering the regeneration scheme in Burton upon Trent and the planned scheme in Uttoxeter.
  • Provide practical and intellectual support, including producing documentation.
  • Act as the main link with local businesses across the borough, especially SMEs.
  • Manage the popular business grants scheme and maintain records of applications.
  • Promote local services and support to businesses.
  • Plan and deliver a number of business engagement events throughout the year.
  • Assist in the delivery of physical regeneration projects.
  • Maintain budget oversight and organise paperwork for the grant application process.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven self‑starter with strong networking and engagement skills.
  • Experience or willingness to develop knowledge of regeneration processes.
  • Proficiency with record‑keeping, budget overview, and paperwork management.
