The Bromsgrove Youth and Community Hub Duties and Responsibilities
- Initiate, develop and maintain positive relationships with children and young people in order to identify key issues relevant to them.
- Be involved in the planning and facilitating of project activities for children and young people and direct youth work in a way that encourages young people to develop self-awareness, improve their skills and empower them to make positive decisions.
- Work in ways which promote equality of opportunity and celebrate diversity.
- Safeguard young people’s welfare.
- Promote a culture of health and safety and participate in one-to-one supervision sessions with your manager.
- Adhere to The Hub’s policies and procedures, including legal requirements, health and safety, child protection and equal opportunities.
- Help young people break down barriers to integration within the wider community.
- Maintain clear session records and collect evaluation data required for reporting back to funders.
- Deliver sessions through our Alternative School Provision, supporting and enhancing young people’s learning opportunities.
Other Duties
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and individual young people.
- Undertake training as required.
- Contribute to the dissemination of key messages and learning with partner agencies.
- Be aware of and adhere to the Hub policies and procedures.
- Observe procedures and codes of conduct; act as a good role model, champion best practice at all times, and report concerns effectively to the Coordinator and/or Trustees.
