Worcestershire County Council is looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to support our team in Bromsgrove Short Breaks Service, which provides a safe, nurturing and fun environment for children and young people with complex health, physical and learning disabilities across Worcestershire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly with young people, building effective relationships with families and professionals.
- Ensure implementation of opportunities for young people to access varied activities and provide comprehensive support.
- Support the Manager and Assistant Manager with day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth running and compliance with safeguarding and regulatory standards.
- Administer, oversee and monitor the work and performance of the team, including regular individual supervision.
- Deliver a high standard of care and support the development and optimisation of each young person’s potential.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent qualification; opportunity to complete Level 4 Apprenticeship Children, Young People and Families Practitioner within two years.
- DBS clearance.
- Safer recruitment safeguarding checks.
Work Conditions:
- Flexible to work shifts, evenings, weekends and sleep-ins (additional payment).
