Customer Support Officer
Employer: Redditch Borough Council
Location: Bromsgrove & Redditch Councils (Customer Service Centre at Parkside Bromsgrove or Customer Service Centre in Redditch)
Grade: 4 (SCP 9 to SCP 14)
Salary: £27,254 to £29,540 per annum
Employment type: Permanent, Part‑time (14.8 hours per week)
Schedule: Thursday and Friday, 8:45 am – 5:09 pm
Key responsibilities
- Helping customers face‑to‑face and on the telephone
- Assisting customers with Council Tax enquiries and online forms
- Promoting other services and payment methods
- Assisting with modern development projects
- Taking payments for services
- Helping customers who present to the centre in need
Requirements
- Experience in face‑to‑face enquiries is essential.
- A good knowledge of Council Tax and other council services is desirable, but not essential.
