Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is looking for an experienced and passionate Business Support Officer to join the Dudley School Attendance & Education Support Service. This role involves providing professional administrative, clerical, and IT support to assist with the delivery of services focused on Children Missing from Education, Children Electively Home Educated, and Children failing to attend school regularly.
The School Attendance & Education Support Service provides the Local Authority's statutory function in relation to legal action for non-school attendance. You will be required to provide administrative support for this work, including issuing penalty fines and monitoring payment processes and systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining complex data recording systems
- Supporting a team of Officers in their daily duties
- Dealing calmly and confidently with customers and clients in stressful situations
