Stirchley Primary School is looking to appoint a suitably qualified, hardworking, enthusiastic teaching assistant to work in our friendly and welcoming school. The position requires supporting our breakfast club in the morning to start at 7.30am and it includes lunchtime duties as well as classroom cover until 2.30pm.

The successful candidates should be prepared to work throughout all three Key Stages if the need arises: Foundation, KS1 & KS2. You should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with children, staff, and parents.

Applicants should be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, be willing to be first aid trained and have a good standard of education. Staff will be expected to work their hours on INSET days and holidays are not allowed during term time.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undertake all relevant safeguarding checks and an enhanced DBS check. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is eligible for an enhanced DBS check including a Children's Barring List Check.
