Overview: Bellfield Infant School & Nursery is a community‑focused 2‑form entry school with hardworking, committed staff and highly motivated, well‑behaved pupils. The school offers a caring, safe and exciting learning environment and focuses on the whole child’s development.

Working Conditions: Permanent, part‑time position of 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. Salary range £28,598 – £34,434 (Pro Rata).

Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching in class.
  • Understand the standards expected for Teaching Assistants and stay updated on current research regarding their effectiveness.
  • Support Early Years and KS1 pupils; SEND experience is beneficial.
  • Contribute as an integral part of a supportive team while exercising initiative.

Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

Pre‑Employment Checks: The post requires references, Enhanced DBS, Childcare Disqualification check where applicable, medical fitness, identity and right to work checks. The position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
