At the Elliot Foundation, we are passionate about creating a thriving and diverse family of schools committed to improving outcomes for children. We are resourced by people who truly want to make a difference within an organisation that is relentlessly positive and ambitious in its approach.
The Role: We are looking for a School Business Manager to provide professional leadership across two of our distinct Birmingham academies. You will act as the operational heartbeat for both Billesley Primary, a large, 3-form entry school with a thriving Research School and SCITT programme and Tiverton Academy, a close-knit, 1-form entry school. Supported by our central infrastructure, you will be the driver behind the scenes, ensuring that financial, staffing, and physical resources are deployed effectively to support our educational vision.
The Person: The person we are looking for will be a versatile, solution-focused leader. You will have the unique ability to switch gears between high-level strategic oversight and hands-on operational delivery. Whether you are constructing a zero-based budget, overseeing complex safer recruitment checks, or driving our "Google First" digital strategy, you will do so with precision and purpose. You will be proactive, resilient, and above all, you will believe that operational excellence is the foundation upon which great teaching and learning are built.
What We Can Offer:
- A Collaborative Network: You won’t work in isolation. You’ll work alongside highly experienced HR, Finance, and Estates Business Partners within a supportive framework.
- Professional Growth: Development opportunities and the chance to lead on Trust-wide sustainability and digital initiatives.
- A Dynamic Environment: No two days are the same. We offer a culture where hard work goes hand-in-hand with a sense of fun and comradeship.
Key Priorities:
- Financial Integrity: Maintaining rigorous control and accurate forecasting.
- Human Resources Management: Manage and maintain all HR Processes within the school to ensure compliance and an engaged staff community.
