Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School Birmingham is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated school administrator for 12 months maternity cover starting September 2026. As a school administrator, you will need excellent administration skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team. We need a committed team player with excellent organisational skills – with the ability to work independently, use ICT efficiently, manage time effectively and prioritise workload with high levels of drive and resilience.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in a busy and varied environment whilst remaining calm, friendly, and respectful towards pupils, staff, parents/carers, and visitors.
  • Use ICT packages efficiently and work on your own initiative.
  • Support the school team and manage appointments, correspondence and admin tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Good IT skills; knowledge of SIMS is desirable but not essential.
  • Numerate with a high level of oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, self‑motivated and has excellent interpersonal skills.

Working conditions:

The role is 36.5 hours per week, Term Time only (12 month maternity cover).
