Position: Nursery Practitioner (Level 2) at Pegasus Primary School

Hours: 32.5 hours a week, term time only

Salary grade: Grade 2 (FTE £24,796 - £26,824). Actual salary is £19,520 - £21,116 depending on skills and experience.

About The School

Pegasus Primary School is a one-form entry, family-oriented school in the heart of North Birmingham. Our Castle Vale community strives for the very best for their children. Role Summary

We are opening a brand-new nursery provision in September 2026 for children aged 2-4 years. The nursery is designed to provide a high-quality early years environment that supports children's curiosity, communication, creativity and independence through carefully planned learning experiences and purposeful play. The successful candidate will be responsible for a small group of children and carrying out all related duties. They will have proven experience in a nursery setting, excellent communication skills with children, parents and professionals, and a sound knowledge and understanding of the EYFS.

Qualifications

Applicants should have at least NVQ Level 2 in childcare or an equivalent qualification; those with proven, relevant experience will also be considered.
