James Brindley Academy is looking for a talented Maths Teacher who can deliver high‑quality maths lessons to young people with complex mental health difficulties and other medical needs. Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils.
- Design and implement creative teaching strategies to reduce the impact of educational disadvantage.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and the wider team to support pupils’ personal and educational development.
- Support pupils with complex mental health and medical needs through a holistic, student‑centred approach.
- Maintain clear communication with parents, guardians, and external agencies as required.
- Contribute to the school’s curriculum development and continuous improvement processes.
- Be open to a second‑in‑Maths (Assistant Head of Curriculum) role for the suitable candidate, which carries a TLR2a.
Qualifications

- Experience working with KS3 and KS4 pupils; post‑16 mathematics teaching experience is advantageous but not essential.
