Contract: Permanent

Hours: 2 positions available.

1 x 10:00am – 14:00pm, 20 hours per week Monday to Friday, Term time only

1 x 11:00am – 14:00pm, 15 hours per week, Monday – Friday, Term time only

Salary: Grade 1 – £24,413 – £24,796

20 hours: £11,696.07 – £11,897.57

15 hours: £8,772.06 – £8,909.68

Allowances: Laundry allowance

Start Date: As soon as possible

Wilson Stuart School is an Ofsted designated outstanding all age (2 – 25 years) Special School which provides very high-quality education for 282 pupils and young people who have physical disabilities, and/or complex medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Washing up and ensuring all equipment is cleaned and stored correctly.
  • Supporting the catering team with daily tasks and following health & safety guidelines.
  • Complying with food safety standards at all times.
  • Set up and dismantle dining furniture.

Candidate Requirements

  • Have a positive attitude and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Possess good communication and organisational skills.
  • Are reliable and able to follow instructions carefully.
  • Have previous experience in a kitchen environment (desirable but not essential – training will be provided).
  • Are committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
