Post and Compensation Grade 2 Clerical Assistant – Grade 2 salary £24,796 – £26,826 FTE (£21,680.21 – £23,455.13 actual). Permanent contract. 36.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday Term Time Only (7:30am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday with a 30 minute unpaid break and 8:00am to 3:00pm on Friday with a 30 minute unpaid break). Negotiable start date. Closing date: Tuesday 2 June 2026.

About the role

The clerical assistant has a front‑facing role, meeting and communicating with parents, colleagues, visitors and other school stakeholders. This is a rewarding job where positivity, efficiency and problem‑solving skills are celebrated. School experience is not necessary providing you have a willingness to learn and an appreciation of how this role affects the educational experience of our pupils. We are a Rights Respecting School and expect all adults to act as duty bearers.

Eligibility and Requirements

School experience is not required. Basic skills and a willingness to learn are essential. You must be able to speak fluent English, as this post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016). All applicants will be subject to enhanced DBS, Childcare Disqualification (where applicable), qualifications, medical fitness, identity and right to work checks. Two suitable references are required.
