Father Hudson’s Caritas has a vacancy for a Family Support Worker to cover 9 months maternity leave needed to support children and families. This is a school‑based role requiring work in three schools during term time and some school holidays.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with vulnerable primary and secondary children and their families;
- Deliver tailored interventions in schools;
- Collaborate with key school staff, health and social care agencies, and the voluntary sector;
- Support children to overcome adversity and improve their emotional well‑being, mental health, and educational achievement.
Locations
- St Margaret Mary Catholic Primary School, P. Common Road, Birmingham, B23 7AB – Thursday & Friday (15 hours)
- St Bernards Catholic Primary School, Wake Green Road, Moseley, Birmingham, B13 9QE – could be Monday & Tuesday or Tuesday & Wednesday (15 hours)
Salary: SCP 27 (£30,572.55 per annum, pro rata – actual pay £24,788.55). You must hold a full driving licence and have access to a car.
