We're looking for a dynamic and highly organized Events Officer to join our City Council Events Team. This is a hands‑on role at the heart of the city’s cultural and sporting life, where you’ll plan, deliver and evaluate a diverse programme of events — from community celebrations to major international showcases. Key Responsibilities
- Leading the planning, organization, delivery and evaluation of events within the Council’s Events Programme.
- Giving advice, support and guidance to Community Event organisers, stakeholders and other agencies wishing to stage events in Birmingham.
- Managing event budgets, including monitoring expenditure, processing invoices and ensuring financial compliance.
- Working closely with community organisations, sponsors, promoters, cultural bodies, sports governing organisations and external agencies.
- Supporting the process for attaining grant and commercial funding, identifying and creating partnership opportunities that will enhance resources available and outcomes delivered through events.
