Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team delivering expert advice on:
- Conduct and disciplinary matters
- Capability and performance
- Attendance management
- Grievances
- TUPE
- Act as senior lead on complex and high‑risk employee relations cases.
- Take ownership of complex, high‑profile cases and shape ER strategy and policy.
- Support major organisational projects such as TUPE, redundancy, and consultation.
- Ensure consistent application of People Policies across the organisation.
- Develop strong partnerships with senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Drive performance, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide insights and reporting to inform strategic decision‑making.
- Work collaboratively with legal advisors and manage external ER support where required.
Qualifications
- Hold CIPD Level 7 or equivalent.
- Significant experience managing complex employee relations casework in a unionised environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to provide strategic advice and support.
