Norton Hall Children & Family Centre is looking for a Deputy Manager to support the running and development of our after school and holiday provision. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. One day you might be planning a holiday programme, the next supporting a team on session, checking registers, or running an activity that children can’t wait to come back to. If you’re organised, child-centred and enjoy working as part of a team, this could be a really rewarding next step.
Responsibilities
- Planning and coordinating after school sessions and holiday programmes
- Leading on activity planning, making sure there’s a mix of fun, creative and engaging opportunities
- Managing registers and attendance, ensuring children are safely accounted for
- Supporting the day-to-day running of sessions, including staffing and organisation
- Helping to lead and support a small team, including staff, students and volunteers
- Carrying out supervisions and supporting staff development
- Acting as Deputy Safeguarding Lead when needed
- Supporting the promotion of the service, helping more families access what we offer

Working Pattern
- Term time hours typically between 1:00pm – 6:00pm
- School holidays on a rota basis between 8:00am – 6:00pm
