The predicted salary is between 45091 - 53460 £ per year.
Salary & Working Hours: Grade D – £45,091 – £53,460. Consultation grade subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review. 36.5 hours per week.
Role Overview: 12 month fixed‑term contract.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with citizens through face‑to‑face meetings and online platforms.
- Facilitate and support local community engagement activities.
- Build contacts with local communities, travelling as required.
- Provide advice, guidance and tools to enable high‑level citizen involvement across council services.
- Work independently and collaboratively within the Public Participation Team.
- Prepare and deliver briefing materials for council staff on best practice approaches to consultation and engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong people skills and passion for listening to and acting on citizen input.
- Excellent communication, organisational and facilitation skills.
- Capacity to travel and work outside normal office hours.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, using initiative.
