An excellent opportunity has come up at Grove Vale Primary School. The head teacher is looking to appoint a hardworking and enthusiastic Breakfast Club Assistant. The role involves safe supervision of pupils and delivery of a high quality Breakfast Club during term time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
  • Provide comprehensive care for the children including safe delivery and collection to and from parents or carers.
  • Set up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.
  • Provide refreshments and ensure hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
  • Administer first aid when necessary.
  • Consult with children and involve them in planning activities.
  • Help with club administration, where necessary.
  • Encourage parental involvement in the club.
  • Facilitate good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, and schools.
  • Undertake appropriate and relevant training.
  • Keep the work environment healthy, safe and secure.
  • Work within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Completed all relevant safeguarding checks and an enhanced DBS check including a Children’s Barring List Check.
  • Exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
  • Must be able to speak fluent and spoken English (Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016).

Working Hours & Salary:

  • Hours: 5 days per week, 6.25 hours per day, 7:25am – 8:40am term time only.
  • Salary: Grade B, SCP 4 £24,185 p.a. (Actual Salary £3,714 – £3,763 p.a.).

Location: Grove Vale Primary, 16 Monksfield Ave, Birmingham B43 6AL.
