Salary: £12,231 - £12,414 per annum

Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8.45-12.45

Start Date: September 1st 2026

Contract Type: Fixed Term (This position is attached to a named child and will end once the child leaves the school. They will be in Year 5, from September 2026).

The Governors of St Anne's CE Primary School and Nursery wish to appoint an enthusiastic Level 1 Teaching Assistant to work as a 1:1 support for a named child in our school.

Purpose of the role:

  • Provide targeted, one-to-one support for a specific pupil entering Year 5 this September, ensuring they can fully access the curriculum.
  • Actively engage in delivering academic work, closely following the guidance and specific direction of both the Class Teacher and the SENDCo.
  • Support other pupils across the school on occasion, adapting flexibly to changing needs as required.
  • Support and engage with children during their break times, encouraging positive social interaction and safe play.

Person Specification:

  • A commitment to maintaining high standards for pupils' achievement and development.
  • Ability to use positive, constructive strategies to manage behaviour and support emotional well-being in line with the school's behaviour policy.
  • A flexible approach, a sense of fun, and the ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit school team.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working one-to-one with children.
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND).
