Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Burman’s Buddies at Burman Infant School is looking for a Before and After School Club Leader – Part Time / Fixed Term. Required Spring Term 2026. Hours: 25 hrs p/w (8-9am / 3-6pm + 5 hrs Administration / Planning Time: Term-time). Salary: Band C £26,824 - £29,540 Pro Rata.

An exciting and valuable opportunity has arisen as we look to recruit an enthusiastic Before and After School Club Leader to open a brand new provision at our School.

About the school: We are a very happy, positive and popular infant school, situated just outside the centre of Shirley in Solihull. Burman Infant School enjoys close partnerships with parents, neighbouring schools and the wider community. Our aim is ‘to provide a safe, secure, caring and inclusive environment in which children achieve their potential in all areas of the curriculum, and in their personal and social development’.

Person specification:

  • Is creative, offers inspiration and initiative
  • Has the ability to lead and manage a small team of Playworkers
  • Is highly organised and enjoys working as part of a team
  • Is positive, enthusiastic and is committed to making a real difference
  • Has the ability to inspire, motivate and engage young children
  • Has good knowledge of EYFS and experience of working with children aged 3 – 7 years
  • Has a caring nature
