We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated SEND Lead Teacher to lead and manage provision for pupils with moderate to complex learning needs across Key Stages 1 and 2 within the SEN Unit at Woodside Primary School.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and coordinate high-quality teaching, learning, assessment, and pastoral support tailored to pupils’ needs.
  • Develop effective strategies and interventions to support learning and wellbeing.
  • Liaise with local authorities, parents, and external agencies to ensure pupils receive the highest level of support.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Head of Inclusion and other staff to enhance inclusive practice.

Qualifications

  • Experienced teacher with proven SEND expertise.
  • Strong commitment to inclusive education and supporting children with moderate to complex learning needs.
  • Ability to coordinate and lead a SEN unit.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Salary & Benefits

  • Teachers’ Main Pay Scale/UPS plus TLR2A (£3,527 FTE per annum) and SEN1 allowance (£2,787 per annum).
