Salary: Grade 8

Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist ready to take the next step in your leadership journey? Wolverhampton Adult Social Care is recruiting Assistant Team Managers to support our dynamic Occupational Therapy services.

Role details

Role 1: Community Occupational Therapy Team

You will support the delivery of domiciliary occupational therapy, working closely with Reablement Services and the Discharge to Assess (D2A) pathway. This role focuses on enabling people to live independently at home, promoting recovery, and reducing hospital admissions.

Role 2: Independent Living Team

You will lead on the provision of equipment and home adaptations, ensuring timely and effective interventions that support independence, safety, and wellbeing. This includes oversight of Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG), minor adaptations, and collaborative working with housing and technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational leadership and supervision to OT staff
  • Support service delivery aligned with strengths-based, person-centred practice
  • Ensure timely assessments and interventions across pathways
  • Contribute to service development, performance monitoring, and quality assurance
  • Work collaboratively with health, housing, and social care partners

What we’re looking for

  • HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
  • Proven experience in adult social care or community OT
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Commitment to promoting independence and wellbeing
  • Experience in supervision and service coordination
