Role Overview
Assistant Head Teacher – Cicely Haughton School.
Salary range: L8‑12.
The role begins January 2027 as part of the Senior Leadership Team and is directly accountable to the Headteacher.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will support the day‑to‑day management of the school, working closely with the current Assistant Head Teacher to share and complement responsibilities.
The role demands strategic and operational leadership, creative problem‑solving, and emotional resilience in a challenging environment.
The incumbent will also lead English, deliver phonics and English across all ages and abilities, and support whole‑school improvement and SEND provision while maintaining a positive ethos.
