Position: Asset Management Support Officer

Location: Shrewsbury, based at Headquarters on St Michael’s Street

Contract: 12-month fixed term

Salary: Grade 5 – £27,269 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

Job Description

We are seeking an Asset Management Support Officer to join our Resources Department. The role involves supporting the implementation of a new Asset Management System to enhance facilities and technical services management. Responsibilities include assisting the Project Manager, establishing asset tracking procedures, supporting staff training, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

The role also involves supporting the Fleet and Workshop teams in maintaining fire appliances, vehicles, and operational equipment. Key tasks include managing parts and stock, processing invoices, liaising with contractors, and handling compliance records, fuel accounts, and insurance claims. Motor trade experience is desirable but not essential.

Applicants should have experience with Microsoft Office and electronic asset and stock management systems, strong IT and data management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines independently.
