We are looking to recruit an experienced Animal Management Technician for our brand‑new Animal Management facility. The unit comprises multiple rooms housing a wide range of small mammals, exotic mammals, aquatics, reptiles, herptiles and insects.
Responsibilities:
- Organise and carry out routine care of animals, ensuring a high degree of animal welfare.
- Collaborate with a small team of part‑time technicians to create rotas and maintain continuous cover in the unit.
- Plan rotas for lecturers to utilise rooms for Level 1–3 courses and HNC/HND programmes.
- Maintain and order stock and equipment essential for animal care.
- Support the maintenance of brand‑new facilities.
