County Fleet Maintenance are Warwickshire County Council’s in‑house vehicle maintenance and fleet assistance provider.

You will be responsible for carrying out general maintenance and servicing on a wide range of makes and models, primarily gritting vehicles and fire appliances. This includes engine, transmission and chassis repairs and diagnosis, electrical work and MOT preparation. A Class 4, 5 and 7 MOT tester qualification is desirable. This is a full‑time permanent role working 37 hours per week.

Key Requirements

  • Level 3 NVQ in heavy goods vehicle maintenance, or an equivalent qualification
  • A good understanding of vehicle diagnosis
  • Understanding of vehicle compliance requirements
  • Good communication skills to liaise with supervisors, other technicians, customers and suppliers
