We are seeking a dedicated and experienced All Age Transport Commissioning and Contracts Manager to lead our All Age Transport service. The focus of the role is the strategic and technical lead on the development of the All Age Transport brokerage service.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the All Age Transport Service initiation, commissioning, management, evaluation and progressing of transport projects.
  • Manage, maintain and analyse various datasets and transport data and/or information services associated with the service.
  • Oversee procurement scope, monitoring and management of transport contracts.
  • Provide strategic input into the areas development management plans and policies.
  • Implement transport policy and strategy.
  • Integrate internal resources to drive best value and innovation.
  • Develop demand response transport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop the All Age Transport brokerage function.
  • Under the general supervision of the Head of Commissioning, manage staff, consultants and contractors to effectively deliver services.
  • Manage all team resources to deliver challenging income targets, commercialise and innovate service delivery.
  • Direct, lead, motivate, train and appraise a multi-disciplinary team of transport professionals and develop and maintain partnerships to effectively deliver optimal transport outcomes for Stoke on Trent City Council in line with our standards and vision.
