Staffordshire County Council is undertaking a transformation of the Adult Social Care system and is seeking a dedicated professional to lead improvement projects across Health and Care. The role supports the implementation of a new Care Management System in partnership with Children’s and Adult Services, and will help frontline teams transition to the new system.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the coordination of adult social care changes as part of the wider programme of work to implement the new system.
- Ensure products are delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Develop resource plans to allocate appropriately skilled staff to key project milestones.
- Oversee data migration, user acceptance testing, configuration, training and business readiness for go-live.
- Engage with frontline teams to gather feedback and views of proposed changes.
- Identify and manage risks, escalating issues for resolution.
- Facilitate workshops with managers and frontline staff to design solutions and plan delivery.
- Draft and distribute updated guidance and communications to embed the new ways of working within teams.
- Promote co-production and equity, ensuring the voices of teams and the people they support are recognised in the design of improvements.
The Ideal Candidate
- Inspirational team worker with experience initiating and leading improvement projects.
- Knowledge of Adult Social Care, with experience in local government and health considered an advantage.
- Skilled in co-designing solutions to implement and embed change.
- Excellent planning and project management abilities.
- Confident working across organisational boundaries, influencing and negotiating to meet deadlines.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of personal drive and integrity, committed to proactively solving problems and developing innovative solutions to improve outcomes.
Fixed-term post (12 months). Predominantly office based with hybrid working; occasional travel within Staffordshire for workshops and stakeholder meetings.
