Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service is looking for an Administrative Support Officer to join our Service Support Team, which provides administrative support to various teams and officers throughout the Service. The role involves data input, information collation, filing, document management and serving as an initial contact point with the public, other organisations, and internal customers.

Qualifications

  • Confident communication skills and excellent written skills
  • Initiative, ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
  • OCR RSA Word Processing Stage 2 (or equivalent) and 2 GCSE passes A–C (or equivalent), one of which should be English Language
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, including electronic diary management

Location

The position will be based primarily at Service Headquarters, St Michael’s Street, Shrewsbury, with occasional reception cover at Telford Training Centre, Stafford Park 1. Both sites provide free parking.
