1:1 Inclusion Support Assistant / Class Based Inclusion Support Assistant
Endon Hall Primary & Nursery School is offering two temporary, term‑time positions: a 1:1 Inclusion Support Assistant and a Class Based Inclusion Support Assistant. The successful candidates will support children with Education, Health & Care Plans and assist the class teacher with whole‑class and KS2 lessons, including small‑group interventions. Opportunities to increase weekly hours in the before & after school programme are available.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual support to a child with an Education, Health & Care Plan.
- Assist the class teacher in whole‑class lessons and KS2 classes.
- Lead small‑group interventions and support needs teams.
- Support parents, carers, colleagues and additional professionals.
Required Skills & Experience
- NVQ Level 3 in Education or equivalent.
- Excellent understanding of child learning and use of assessment to progress learning.
- Clear understanding of the primary curriculum.
- Confidence supporting children with differing abilities.
- Experience working with children with additional needs.
- Knowledge of language and communication difficulties.
- Ability to give feedback on progress and achievement.
- Proven collaboration with parents/carers, colleagues, and professionals.
- High expectations of learning and behaviour with ability to adapt to child’s needs.
- Ability to collaborate with all staff to promote enrichment and life skills.
