Overview
WMG Academy Trust, from September 2026, will welcome its first cohort of Year 9 students. The UTC curriculum emphasizes science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) with GCSEs, A Levels, vocational and technical qualifications. The academy aims to shape future engineers and equip students with practical skills via industry partnerships.
Position
Teacher of English (Years 9 to 13)
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons across Years 9‑13, ensuring exceptional academic outcomes.
- Design innovative schemes of learning that integrate English with real‑world applications and industry projects.
- Act as a Pastoral Tutor and support student well‑being.
- Use data to drive student progress and maintain high literacy standards.
- Participate in the Academy’s enrichment programmes.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant honours degree.
- 5 A–C GCSEs including English and Maths.
- Deep knowledge of Engineering or Product Design.
- Strong relationships with pupils, parents and partners.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
