Description: Cleaning Operative at Solihull fire station.

Operative 2B £13.45 Living Wage. Permanent part-time position, 22 hours per week.

West Midlands Fire Service (WMFS) is the second largest in the country, delivering prevention, protection, and response services across the West Midlands. The cleaning services department currently services 38 fire stations, our transport workshop, and our Command Development Centre, plus our main headquarters in Birmingham.

The post-holder would report to the Cleaning and Catering Manager within Facilities Management. This permanent post is based at one of our fire stations, with frequent opportunities for overtime providing cover at other stations.

The role entails cleaning offices, hallways, stairs, mess rooms, toilets, and changing facilities. You would be working on your own in the station, so you would need to work using your own initiative to the cleaning specification set by your line manager.
