We're working with a highly regarded UK law firm, who are now looking to appoint a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role in the ongoing evolution of their technology estate. This is a senior role, taking ownership of the firm's cloud and infrastructure platforms, ensuring they remain secure, resilient, cost-effective, and aligned with both business and cybersecurity objectives. This role offers genuine influence across cloud strategy, security, automation, and modern workplace technologies within a professional services environment.

The Role

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve Azure-based cloud infrastructure
  • Act as a senior technical authority across cloud, infrastructure, and security
  • Optimise cloud environments for performance, cost, availability, and resilience
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform
  • Administer and optimise Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments
  • Implement and maintain identity, access control, and security frameworks
  • Lead on endpoint management and security using Intune
  • Implement and manage Microsoft Purview for data governance and compliance
  • Ensure compliance with Cyber Essentials and other security accreditations
  • Own vulnerability management, patching, and remediation activities
  • Work closely with architecture and wider IT teams to minimise downtime and ensure service continuity

What You'll Bring

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud architecture
  • Proven experience with Terraform and infrastructure automation
  • Deep understanding of cloud security, identity & access management, and compliance
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (AAD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune)
  • Experience supporting AVD and modern workplace environments
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (firewalls, VPNs, load balancing)
  • Experience with vulnerability management and security remediation
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured, methodical way
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills and a proactive mindset
  • Exposure to legal systems such as iManage, 3E, Intapp, Litera, Mimecast is highly beneficial but not essential
  • Good working knowledge of ITIL best practice
