Senior 2nd Line Support Specialist, Law Firm, London

Role Summary:
Work as a senior member of the five-person, 2nd line Desktop & Applications Support team in the 300-user London office. Support office infrastructure, troubleshoot technical issues, deliver projects and assist service desk personnel to ensure efficient IT system deployment and maintenance per firm policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely, professional 2nd line IT support and effective communication.
- Assist colleagues and improve overall IT knowledge within the firm.
- Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, telephone systems and peripherals.
- Provide second-line support & troubleshooting, escalating issues when necessary.
- Support AV and video conferencing systems for meetings and events.
- Maintain accurate documentation and meticulous adherence to processes.
- Manage IT inventory databases and coordinate vendor repairs.
- Act as a liaison for IT teams and firm management in the IT Manager\’s absence.
- Evaluate and test new technology solutions for London.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum five years of relevant IT support experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS and MS-Office 365 Suite.
- Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).
- \’A\’ level or equivalent education.
- Excellent customer service and oral & written communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours & overtime when needed.
- Experience in law firms or professional services.
