Contract Business Analyst – Legal Sector | Process Automation & DMS The Organisation A specialist law firm, recognised as leaders in their field, is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join on an interim basis. With several high-impact projects underway including process automation, workflow optimisation, and the implementation of a new Document Management System. Supporting a 500+ user environment, you\’ll work as part of a collaborative PMO, where strong stakeholder engagement is key to driving smarter, more efficient ways of working across the firm. The Role This is a hands-on business analysis position focused on process re-engineering , workflow automation , and the rollout of a new Document Management System . You will work as part of a collaborative PMO team, translating complex requirements into practical solutions, and ensuring stakeholders are engaged throughout delivery. Key Responsibilities Review and document current business processes across legal and operational teams. Identify areas of inefficiency and propose automation opportunities. Capture, refine, and prioritise business requirements for upcoming systems changes. Support DMS implementation with user engagement, testing, and training deliverables. Produce process diagrams, user stories, and functional specs to support change initiatives. Build relationships with senior stakeholders across legal, IT, and business services. Your Background Strong experience as a Business Analyst within law firms, professional services, or highly regulated environments. Skilled in process improvement , change delivery , and requirements gathering . Comfortable managing stakeholders across different departments and seniority levels. Familiarity with DMS systems such as iManage, and a good understanding of legal workflows. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple concurrent projects.
