WMC RECRUITMENT is currently looking for a passionate nursery apprentice to join an amazing nursery at Dartford
Position Details:
- Salary: Minimum wage
- Hours: 9am – 3pm, 5 days per week
- Location: Milestones Day Nursery, Dartford
- Benefits: Free parking on-site
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing high-quality childcare and ensuring the needs of all children are met.
- Support the staff to provide an environment where children can learn, grow, and develop.
- Ensure that the nursery environment reflects the cultural diversity of all children.
- Use inclusive learning methods to support the development of all children.
- Assist with nappy changes, feeding, and other personal care tasks.
- Adhere to health and safety policies and ensure best childcare practices and standards are maintained.
- Help market the nursery to prospective parents, supporting with event planning and participation on opening day.
- Work collaboratively with staff and parents to ensure the nursery’s high standards are met.
What We’re Looking For:
- A DBS check is required.
- Punctuality is essential, as we cannot cancel on parents.
- A hands-on, active approach to working with children.
- Willing to undertake training to achieve a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship.
- A willingness to learn and a positive attitude toward professional growth.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently when needed.
Ideal Candidate:
- Level 2 qualification in childcare (or equivalent) is preferred, but we’re open to unqualified candidates who are eager to learn.
- Basic knowledge of childcare principles and an enthusiasm to build on your skills.
- A proactive and caring approach to children’s development.
