WMC Training is seeking a dedicated LV3 Nursery Practitioner to join a professional and supportive early years team.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, a passion for early years education and a desire to support children’s learning and development.
The employer will however also consider Apprentice level candidates looking for an opportunity to develop their career.
DUTIES
- Support practitioners in delivering the EYFS curriculum.
- Work towards an early years qualification with support from the setting and WMC Training.
- Care for children aged 0–5, including feeding, nappy changing and toileting where required.
- Plan and support engaging, age-appropriate activities and play.
- Observe, assess and record children’s learning and development.
- Act as a key worker and build positive relationships with children and families.
- Promote children’s wellbeing, inclusion, independence and positive behaviour.
- Ensure safeguarding, health, safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Communicate professionally with parents/carers and colleagues.
- Follow all setting policies and procedures.
- Attend team meetings, training and professional development sessions.
- Support the day-to-day running and organisation of the setting.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties required by the Setting Manager.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience working with children.
- Genuine interest in early years education.
- Willingness to complete a childcare qualification.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and supporting children’s development.
