For Companies WMC Recruitment is currently looking for a motivated person, who shares passion for the outdoors, making learning exciting, and memorable for all children to join a well established nursery at theheart of East Finchley.
The vacancy is for an assistant who will support the Qualified Forest School Teacher to deliver daily forest school sessions and ideally wants to pursue a career in outdoor learning and Childcare.
The successful applicant will be passionate about providing outstanding learning and play experiences for our children in an outdoor environment. The successful candidate will also take part in Level 1 and/or 2 Forest School training to gain a qualifications an official Forest School assistant.You will be part of a team working with children across the Preschool and Forest School.
What does the role involve?
- To assist with the development and delivering of outstanding Forest Schools activities to groups of children from 3+
- Ensure all participants are engaged and having fun in a safe environment.
- Be prepared to innovate and devise imaginatively varied ways of teaching the forest school experience to children.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a keen interest and experience of working on forest schools programmes
- Enjoys working with children
- Is flexible, reliable, prompt, helpful and supportive
- Will enjoy being part of a positive and committed team
- Is confident and outgoing with excellent communications skills
- Can make a positive contribution and has a friendly, polite and professional manner.
