Wm Pringle & Son Ltd are looking to recruit an experience Transport Administrator/Planner – Night Shift to join our team. Working on a 4 on 4 off Rota, 6pm to 6am (12hour Night shift), you will contribute to the smooth and efficient operational activities within the traffic office to ensure customer needs and expectations are met. You will provide administration support to the team in relation to communicating information to the drivers, reporting information through daily briefings, monitoring the completion of documentation ensuring it`s done in line with company procedures. WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Previous experience within a transport/logistics organisation Knowledge of driver legislation and working time directive Good geographical knowledge of the UK Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements Experience of managing conflicting priorities in a fast-moving environment Ability to take a creative approach to problem solving. Knowledge of Tachomaster would be advantageous. Ability to work with excel & word spread sheets. Experience within a Haulage company would be advantageous. What youll do on a typical day: Assisting drivers with arising issues. Ensuring drivers have arrived for shift. Act as first point of contact of any Driver issues that occur during the shift. Ensuring trailers will arrive at destinations at the scheduled times. Undertaking compliance checks with drivers. Ensure KPIs and targets are achieved and maintained. THINGS TO CONSIDER Candidates must make sure they are able to make their way to and from the place of work to meet the working hours stated.
