Wm Hamilton & Sons Ltd are looking for a reliable and hardworking Sweeper Operator to join our team. Candidate will be on 18 ton Road sweeping side of the business and train to become a Sweeper Operator.
Hours of work:
- Monday to Friday 7:00am - 6:00pm
- Weekend working required every second weekend.
Role duties include:
- Learning how to operate road sweepers
- Carrying out sweeper work once trained and competent
- Daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance
- Completing job sheets and site paperwork
- Following site risk assessments and method statements
- Liaising professionally with site managers, clients and members of the public
- Keeping vehicles and equipment clean, safe and presentable
Requirements:
- HGV licence Class 2
- CSCS card/ Npors
- CPC license in date
- Willingness to learn both Hydrovac Operation and sweeping operations
- Strong awareness of health and safety
- Reliable, hardworking and flexible with overtime and weekend work
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Ability to use phone/tablets/app use and write clearly
- Maintenance of the machine including greasing
