The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

The ALS department is seeking to expand on the current level of support provided and to do this learning support staff with specialisms and skills in the areas listed are required to deliver effective additional learning support to learners with a variety of needs.

You will work in and out of classes, with small groups of learners or 1:1 to ensure their learning goals are met, including for learners attending evening and Saturday courses.

You will have excellent skills in one, or more, of these areas:

  • English Functional Skills to at least Level 2
  • Maths Functional Skills to at least Level 2
  • ICT skills to support beginners and up level 1 learners
  • ESOL skills to Level 2

You will also have a passion for assisting in learning environments and have experience of supporting learning and or working with adults, including young adults of 18-25 with learning difficulties and disabilities. You should possess the ability to work with others and use your excellent people skills to assist learners to overcome their barriers to learning, build their confidence and prepare them to be entered for exams and or further learning.
