We're recruiting a Marketing & Events Coordinator to join our new and growing marketing team, reporting to the Senior Marketing Officer. This is a hands‑on coordination role that sits right at the centre of college life.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the planning and delivery of open events, learner awards, exhibitions, private views, concerts and craft fairs, working closely with curriculum and support teams.
- Creating, scheduling and monitoring social media and website content that reflects college life, learner success stories and course opportunities.
- Capturing live content (photos, short video, quotes) at events and in classes.
- Coordinating event logistics: room bookings, signage, AV, liaison with Estates and on‑the‑day delivery.
- Marketing administration including shared inboxes, asset records, permissions logs and post‑event reporting.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail across multiple deadlines.
- Confidence with social media platforms and digital tools (MS Office, Canva, Adobe).
- Excellent communication skills with learners, staff and external partners.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a marketing and events team, ideally in FE, HE or a similar community‑facing setting.
- Understanding of safeguarding, GDPR and accessibility in a college setting.
Working pattern: 0.6 FTE, hybrid. The marketing team works from the college on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and we'd ideally like you on site for one or two of those days; remaining hours are flexible. Some evening and weekend work supports our events calendar, including two Saturday open days per year.
